Protecting your sheetsYou can ensure that nobody can edit your sheets after you have used it by protecting it with a password. You first need to select the cells which you want protect and go to the format options to select if the specific selected cells should be protected or not. Remember that all cells are on default protected. This means that if you protect your sheet, all cell will be locked. To unlock certain cell/not protect and allow editing, you need to select them, right click on the selection and go to format cell. Go to the last tab called " protection". See below.
If you unclick the locked tick the selected cells will not be protected and may be edited if the sheet is protected. The hidden tick will ensure that nobody can see you formula if they stand on that cell. If you click on the hidden, then your formulas will be hidden when the sheet is protected. After you have selected which cells needs to be protected or not, you need to protect your sheet. Go to the review menu and select protect sheet.
You must insert your password for your sheet in here. Please note that you can select from the drop down which functions should be still enabled if the sheet is protected.
You can unprotect with your password in the same menu.
