The Average formulaDefinitionThe average formula will calculate the average for the selected range of amounts. It works like the sum formula, but will give the average instead of the sum. If a selected field is blank, it will not be included in the average calculation. ExampleWe have the following numbers. We have two blanks spots, the divider will thus not be 8 but 6, because the blank cells are ignored
