The Search formula

Definition

The search formula will search for a specified field or character in the selected cell.

The makeup of the formula

It only consists of two fields

  1. First you have to specify what text must be search for
  2. Then you must specify in what cell must be searched for

For the first 4 we search for a space in the cells. The result will be the place where this space exists.

We can use the search formula very effectively with the replace formula like in 5. Only put the search formula in the second field of the replace formula.
