Sumifs formula

Definition

The sumifs formula works almost the same as the sumif formula. The only different is that you can now insert more categories without using the concatenate formula.

The makeup of the formula

Sum_range: The sumifs formula starts with the range. You will first select where you want total from.

Criteria range1:Here you will insert your first category to total by. In the table below we are going to search from something in column E

Criteria1:This is going to be what we are searching for in criteria range1. In the table below we are searching for the word "Apples".

Criteria range2:Here you will insert you second category to total by. In the table below we are going to search from something in column L

Criteria2:This is going to be what we are searching for in criteria range2.In the table below we are searching for the word "Susan".

You can insert as many categories as you like.
