Working with dates in excel

Dates in excel is a very powerfull tool, if you know how it works. All dates in excel are represented by numbers. The first date in excel is 1900/01/00, which is also the number 0. 1900/01/01 is the number 1 as so on.

Knowing this will allow you to deduct two dates, convert the answer to a number format and get the number of days between two dates. if you divide the days by 7, yoi get weeks, by 12 you get months and by 365 you get years.
