  1. Formatting Cells

Formatting cells in Excel is somehow similar with how you do it in Microsoft Word. First, you have to select the cells by highlighting them. From there, you can choose the Font style, color and size, background color as well as choose between Bold, Italicize and Underline. Note: Whenever you’re selecting multiple cells, you’ll notice that only one cell will remain white – this is okay.

  1. Adding borders to cells

Select the desired cells that you wanted to add borders to. Right click on your selection and you’ll see a small arrow pointing downwards. You can choose the “more borders” options to check your options, and select the one that you’d like to use. From there, you can choose the style, border width and even the color of your choice.

  1. Clearing cell borders

Removing or clearing the cell borders is similar to adding borders to these cells. Once more, you have to select the cells that you wanted to remove borders from. Right click on your selection and choose “no border”. After which, you’ll see that the borders within the selected area are already cleared.

  1. Wrap Text

There are only a few people who know how to wrap multiple lines in one single cell. You’ll have to choose the cell, type your text into that cell, click “wrap text” and the long text will automatically fit into a small single cell.
